Our Novice session is for surfers who have mastered the Beginner session and want to start riding slightly larger open-face waves that break at a mellow pace. This setting features our smallest Malibu-style waves, the Malibu 0.5 (M0.5) and the Malibu 1 (M1). It’s perfect for those looking to master catching a wave before it breaks, standing up, and turning down the line. These knee-to-waist high waves provide an easy-going feel but enough push to get you moving down the line.
