Our events bring surfing to life through hands-on experiences, skill-building clinics, product demos, competitions, and community moments and celebrations—all set against the backdrop of the first Wavegarden cove in the United States.
Whether you’re looking to try new boards, sharpen your technique, connect with local brands, or just soak up the stoke, our event calendar offers something for every level of surfer and surf-curious guest. Expect a mix of surf sessions, demos, swaps, live activations, family-friendly programming, music, entertainment, and special collaborations with industry leaders and local partners.

Sirens at Sunset
Sirens at Sunset | September 12th
Get ready for an evening to surf, stretch, sip, and shop at Atlantic Park Surf! Our first women-focused event, bringing female surfers together to build a community full of stoke, connection, and good vibes.
Whether you’re a seasoned surfer or just getting started, this night is for YOU. We’ll kick things off with a guided stretch, mini land lesson, and safety briefing before hitting the water for a 5:00 PM Progressive Session on both sides of the surf lagoon.
Not ready to surf? No worries. Come hang on the beach, shop from a variety of vendors, and enjoy the VIBE with us. After the session, stick around for cocktails and shopping.

About Nearshore
Nearshore is a fast-paced coastal thriller following Jamie Palmer, a former professional surfer and lifeguard who uncovers a dark conspiracy linking a Silicon Valley billionaire to nuclear terrorist attacks after a suspicious boating accident claims his best friend's life. Palmer teams up with a math prodigy to investigate the threat unfolding along the California coast.
About Steve Hawk
Steve Hawk is the former editor of Surfer, Sierra, and Stanford Business magazines, and of surfline.com. His first book, Waves, explores the science and aesthetics of ocean waves. He is currently co-writing a book with his brother, Tony Hawk, about the history and culture of skateboarding. He lives near Half Moon Bay, California, where he spends as much time as possible frolicking in the ocean. Nearshore is his first novel.

About Donavon Frankenreiter
For nearly four decades Donavon Frankenreiter has been travelling the globe, first as a professional surfer and now as a musician. Born in Southern California, Donavon spent most of his youth chasing waves, turning pro at the age of 16.
These days instead of surf competitions, it’s concert halls that brings Frankenreiter to town, where he entertains audiences with his unique blend of laid-back grooves, philosophical lyrics and soulful delivery.
You can find him touring the world with his three-piece band and still catching waves anytime he can.
Chlorine Clash
Join us for Atlantic Park Surf’s 2nd annual competitive surf invitational, featuring top qualifying series surf competitors of the World Surf League.
The second inaugural Chlorine Clash Surf Invitational will be held between two iconic regional events: the Virginia Beach East Coast Surfing Championship (ECSC)–the longest-running surf competition in the world–and the Outer Banks Pro.
The event’s surfing format will consist of eight of the top WSL qualifying series Men & Women, including eight wild cards, who will be invited to compete head-to-head in a series of turn and barrel waves at Atlantic Park Surf. All competitors will be surfing rights. Winners for both divisions will take all.
Atlantic Park Surf WSL Pro Junior
The Atlantic Park Surf Pro Junior will take place on Monday, August 31, 2026, to determine the North America Pro Junior Regional victors at the first-ever WSL North America event held In surf lagoon! This will be the third and final stop in the series, come cheer on and support our North America Pro Juniors!
Noah Beschen “DEMO” Film Premiere & Aerial Showcase
Join us for the premiere of Noah Beschen’s film premiere, DEMO. Doors open at 7PM, movie starts at 8PM, surfing starts at 9PM!
Noah Beschen, Eimeo Czermak, Kalani Rivero, and more will be joining us to kick off this passion project Noah has been working on, and after the film premiere ends, Noah and friends will be hosting an aerial showcase at Atlantic Park Surf starting at 9pm on our AIR WAVE! HUCK 2 Film Premiere Starring Ryan Huckabee with DJ Lost Colony
Join us for the premiere of HUCK 2, a short surf documentary and action edit starring 20-year-old Floridian pro surfer Ryan Huckabee. About Lost Colony
Lost Colony (@lostcolony_music) is an emerging house music DJ and groove-focused artist based in the Virginia Beach and Hampton Roads area, known for atmospheric seaside sets spanning deep house, minimal house, afro house, tech house, and nu-disco.

The VB Lineup | August 27 | 6PM - 10PM
Join us to welcome The VB Lineup. This is an exclusive event surrounding Jason Borte’s Virginia is for Surfers, where Jason and members of the Virginia Beach community will be sharing further insight into their Virginia Beach surf upbringing and opening it up to the larger community to ask the questions we’ve all wanted to ask.
The Hookz will be playing, unseen images and videos will be featured, all alongside the Atlantic Park Surf lagoon.

Wes Laine put VB on the map with his run to the top of the world tour in the 1980s, excelling in waves from two to 20 feet and gracing multiple magazine covers.
Morgan Knight battled her way up through the male-dominated 1st Street lineup, going on to win longboard events across the country.
Dr. David Neff put a spotlight on the incredible local scene when he created Shred Magazine, an iconoclastic time capsule that rose to national prominence.
Ricky Miller’s homegrown prowess on a bodyboard dominated along the East Coast circuit and took him to the international level.
Blayr Barton stands at the forefront of modern surfing, repping an amazing air game and representing VB on his charge up the current pro rankings.

Mike is a Virginia Beach Native. After graduating from Old Dominion University where he studied Fine Arts with a concentration in painting, Mike focused most of his energy on building a career in music. About Steve Rondo
Steve Rondo has built a following across the Northeast, touring beach towns, dive bars, and regional festivals. Songs like Flowers of La Jolla and Afternoon Rebellion showcase his blend of heartfelt storytelling and guitar-driven arrangements — music made for long drives and reflection.
A surfer at heart, Rondo brings coastal atmosphere into his songwriting. His songs mirror the ocean’s push and pull — building into anthemic choruses before settling into calm. Themes of freedom, uncertainty, and searching for direction run throughout his work, capturing the feeling of chasing waves and dreams.
Live, Rondo and his band balance raw emotion with communal energy. Highlights include opening for Dermot Kennedy in Portland, Maine in 2022, plus performances at Levitate Music Festival and 92.5 The River’s Riverfest, cementing their reputation as a rising live act in the region.
